Jeremy is currently Project Director, Rugby World Cup for VisitEngland with the main focus being to maximise the tourism opportunities presented by the global tournament being hosted in England. Prior to this, Jeremy worked with VisitEngland, VisitBritain and the British Tourist Authority in a variety of senior roles both in London and overseas. Most recently Jeremy was VisitEngland’s Business Development Director.
VisitEngland has worked alongside the tournament organisers and many other partners and stakeholders to maximise the tourism benefits of the tournament. With RWC matches spread over 10 cities in England as well as Cardiff and with over 460,000 overseas visits alone predicted, Rugby World Cup is the biggest event on the 2015 tourism calendar.
VisitEngland is the country’s national tourist board. We work in partnership with the industry to develop the visitor experience across England, plan national tourism strategy, grow the value of tourism in England and provide advocacy for the industry and our visitors.
